My School Life (profile)

8-26-13

I am an earthling called "Cam". I enjoy Video-Games, Sports & Food. I have 3 pets, and I am currently being "educated" at Lincoln Junior High of Plymouth, Indiana. The school is pretty nice, but the food is below my standards, but that's not saying much, as I get good food everywhere else I go.
When I am extremely bored I draw things on computers using various "special" characters. Ex:
 _^_
(>")>                Now, you might have guessed it was pac-man dancing with a sombrero, or you
/   \                   might have thought it was a witch celebrating her first successfully brewed poison.

Now, the purpose of this entry is to explain the point of this "ePortfolio". Apparently, it is expected that we (8th graders) are to modify and improve our blogs throughout the rest of our schooling. I am hopeful that they will change this plan soon. I created this because it was an assignment last year (and still is) and I could either do it, or fail. Naturally, if stubbornly, I did it. Eventually, I'll probably accept it as part of every-day life, but for now it's an inconvenience. I learn well when I enjoy the topic I'm learning…

I don't get good feedback very often, so I don't expect it. I suppose it makes me feel humble. Last year I had a teacher that just cared too much and was constantly on my back, whether what I did was good or bad. A good teacher should limit their congratulations and belittling. It's as if they have a quota, and a certain number of times they have to scrutinise and give props to a student.

I enjoy music (rock, none of that crap that plagues AM stations today) and video games, above all. I also enjoy Social Studies in school, but dislike almost every other class (electives not included). I like history, but unfortunately, that's the only required class I thoroughly enjoy. That's my strength and my weakness, I suppose.

I like Balrogs from the Lord of The Rings. They are my favourite creatures. If they existed today, I would like to have one as a pet. This probably wouldn't happen, as they would annihilate me on sight. They are, by no means, friendly creatures.
